Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Buyer for our site in Indonesia to oversee logistics and packaging spend. You will develop sourcing strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensure supply security, and drive cost-saving initiatives.

You will track market developments, manage tendering processes, and lead supplier negotiations to achieve value delivery for the site and BU goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and packaging spend management.
• Ability to lead tender/RFQ processes.
• Strong market analysis and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for logistics and packaging categories with stakeholders.
• Ensure secure supply at competitive terms and drive savings pipeline on site.
• Track markets, macroeconomic and supplier developments to inform decisions.
• Lead competitive tenders/RFQ, negotiations and supplier selection.
• Lead contract implementation and coordinate with Operations and Category leads.

The Buyer Logistic & Packaging will be capturing all logistics services and packaging Materials spend by implementing the approved sourcing strategies and value generation for his/her responsible sites in Indonesia.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the development of sourcing strategies for logistics & packaging categories and implement them in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
• Ensure security of supply at competitive commercial conditions, drive the category saving pipeline on the site(s) and engage with stakeholders to drive implementation and progress of new/alternative products, services and processes
• Track relevant markets, incl. macro-economic and geo-political influences, supply-demand situation, supplier/solution/technology development, regulation
• Prepare and lead competitive tender/RFQ, fact-based negotiations, supplier selection and contracting process for the spend
• Lead contract implementation and resolve issues in close alignment with Category lead and Operation team
