Job summary

Vortex is seeking a System Analyst to bridge business needs and technology within our EdTech-focused projects. You will analyze requirements, design solutions, and validate specs to support scalable educational technology deployments.

You'll collaborate with product, development, and QA teams; produce BRD/FRD and user stories, and leverage ERP knowledge to optimize systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of system/ business analysis or related roles.
• Experience in Education Technology or SaaS preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, CS, or related field.
• Proficiency with system modeling tools (e.g., draw.io, Lucidchart, Figma).
• Understanding of database design, API interaction, and basic software architecture.
• Familiar with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to produce BRD, FRD, and user stories.

Responsibilities

About the role

The System Analyst at Vortex will act as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and validating system requirements to support the development of scalable and effective educational technology solutions. This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills to collaborate across departments. Experience working with ERP systems will be considered a strong advantage.

What you'll do

Analyze business processes and translate them into system requirements and technical documentation

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to design solutions that meet user and operational needs

Create clear documentation including flowcharts, ERDs, user stories, and technical specs

Support the development team in ensuring system functionalities align with design and requirements

Participate in system testing, debugging, and issue tracking during the QA phase

Continuously identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements

Assist in user training and preparation of user manuals or SOPs when needed

What we're looking for

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in system analysis, business analysis, or related roles

Industry Background: Experience in Education Technology or SaaS preferred

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in system modeling tools (e.g., draw.io, Lucidchart, Figma, or similar)

Understanding of database design, API interaction, and basic software architecture

Familiar with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies

Documentation Skills:

Experience writing BRD (Business Requirements Document), FRD (Functional Requirements Document), or user stories

Bonus Points:

Experience or involvement in ERP implementation or integration projects

Basic SQL knowledge

Experience working with developer teams and QA process
