Pengiklan Anonim is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead the tax department, oversee compliance, and optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
You will prepare corporate tax returns (income tax, VAT), monitor changes in Indonesian tax laws, coordinate with internal teams for data, mentor junior staff, and liaise with tax authorities and consultants. Experience with e-invoicing and transfer pricing is a plus.
Supervising and managing the daily activities of the tax department team, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and other statutory tax filings
Monitoring changes in Indonesian tax legislation and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant with current requirements
Coordinating with internal departments to gather necessary financial and operational information for tax compliance purposes
Developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimise the company's tax position whilst maintaining full compliance
Managing relationships with tax authorities, customs officials, and external tax consultants
Conducting tax audits, risk assessments, and providing recommendations for improving tax processes
Training and mentoring junior tax staff, providing guidance on tax procedures and best practices
Maintaining comprehensive tax documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Preparing tax reports and analysis for senior management and stakeholders
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
Professional tax qualification or certification (such as Badan Sertifikasi Profesi Akuntan Indonesia or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in taxation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in tax accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, particularly when managing multiple deadlines
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, in Indonesian and English
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience with Indonesian e-invoicing systems and digital tax compliance platforms is preferred
Knowledge of international tax principles and transfer pricing is advantageous
