Job summary

PT Mutu Gading Tekstil is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure incoming materials, in-process yarn, and finished products meet high-quality standards. The role requires measuring, testing, and reporting using HVI, AFIS, Uster, and related equipment.

Ideal candidates have a relevant engineering degree and at least three years in textile QC, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Chemical/Industrial/Textile Eng.
• 3+ years of experience in a textile or yarn manufacturing QC role.
• Familiarity with textile testing lab equipment, SPC, and Uster standards.

Responsibilities

• Raw Material Inspection using HVI/AFIS for length, strength, micronaire and trash.
• In-Process Quality Monitoring across blow room to ring frame stages.
• Create/manage production orders and daily quality reports.
• Finished Yarn Testing with Uster Tester, Classimat, CSP, and twist testers.
• Coordinate with maintenance/QA to verify gauges and EYC settings.
• Investigate yarn faults and implement CAPA.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with ISO/quality systems.

Job description

Qualifications & experience

Minimum of a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Textile Technology.

Minimum 3 years of experience

Familiarity with textile testing laboratory equipment, statistical process control (SPC), and Uster quality standards.

Attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Core Responsibilities

Raw Material Inspection: Test incoming cotton bales or synthetic fibers using instruments like HVI (High Volume Inspection) and AFIS (Advanced Fiber Information System) for length, strength, micronaire, and trash content.

In-Process Quality Monitoring: Check sliver, roving, and yarn uniformity across production stages—from the blow room and carding to drawing, flyer/simplex, and ring frame.

Order & Production Documentation: Create and manage production orders (POK / Permintaan Order Kerja) and daily quality reports (LKPA) from the front to back processes.

Finished Yarn Testing: Test final yarn cones/packages using instruments like the Uster Tester, Classimat, CSP (Cloth Strength Product), and twist testers to check TPI (twist per inch) and strength against buyer or BIS standards.

Machine & Setting Verification: Coordinate with the maintenance or QA department to verify roller gauges, spacers, drafting gear settings, and Electronic Yarn Clearers (EYC).

Defect Analysis & CAPA: Investigate root causes of yarn faults (such as thick/thin places, neps, or contamination) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
