Job summary

Apical is seeking a seasoned PPIC professional to lead production planning and inventory control for our Dumai operations. You will coordinate with multiple functions to ensure accurate and timely plans, monitor material availability, and drive improvements across planning processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in PPIC, Production Planning, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
• Experience in refinery, oleochemical, edible oil, FMCG, chemical, or process manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor production plans to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Plan and control inventory of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to meet production needs.
• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Tank Farm, Procurement, Logistics, Commercial, and Quality teams for aligned planning.
• Monitor material availability and inventory levels; identify risks.
• Analyze PPIC performance and planning accuracy; take corrective actions.
• Drive process improvement, planning standardization, and digitalization to improve efficiency.
• Prepare production planning, inventory, and performance reports for management.
• Lead, supervise, and develop PPIC team members to meet targets.

• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Tank Farm, Procurement, Logistics, Commercial, and Quality teams to ensure accurate and aligned planning.
• Monitor material availability and inventory levels, and identify potential supply or stock risks.
• Analyze PPIC performance and planning accuracy, and take corrective actions when needed.
• Drive process improvement, planning standardization, and digitalization initiatives to improve planning efficiency.
• Prepare production planning, inventory, and performance reports for management review.
• Lead, supervise, and develop PPIC team members to achieve team and operational targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PPIC, Production Planning, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations.
• Experience in refinery, oleochemical, edible oil, FMCG, chemical, or process manufacturing industries is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team coordination role is preferred.
• Good understanding of production planning, inventory management, MRP, and supply chain processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Experience in process improvement, digitalization, or system implementation projects is an advantage.
• Willing to be based in Lubuk Gaung, Dumai, Riau (remote area).
