Job summary

Wasco Berhad in Batam, Indonesia is seeking an experienced Drawing Verification Specialist to ensure 2D drawings align with 3D models and engineering drawings across Oil & Gas projects. You will review dimensions, tolerances, materials, and notes to maintain quality and compliance.

Role requires 5+ years in Oil & Gas, expertise in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, and strong knowledge of steel, civil, concrete, and earthwork design.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role within Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore).
• Proficient with Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revit.
• Knowledge of structural steel, civil, concrete, and earthwork design.

Responsibilities

• Verify 2D drawings against 3D models and specs for accuracy.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Identify and communicate errors, omissions, or inconsistencies.
• Review constructability and painting allowances, clearances, tolerances.
• Maintain drawing revision records, approvals, markups, and checklists.

Job Description

• Meticulously verify 2D drawings against 3D models and engineering drawings, specifications for accuracy in dimensions, tolerances, materials, and notes.
• Ensure all drawings conform to company standards, industry codes, and safety regulations.
• Identify, document, and communicate errors, omissions, or inconsistencies.
• Review constructability issues ensuring parts can be produced efficiently (e.g., checking for correct painting allowances, clearances, and tolerances).
• Maintain records of drawing revisions, approvals, and markups
• Maintain and perform 2D drawing checklist.
• Work with designers and engineers to resolve issues and provide feedback to improve future design quality.

Qualification

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
• Min. 5 years in the same role within the Oil & Gas industry (onshore/offshore).
• Familiar with software Tekla Structures (3D), AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit
• Strong understanding of structural steel, civil, concrete, and earthwork design.
• Able to handle a fast-paced environment, multi-task, meet deadlines, and eager to learn.
