Job summary

Aspen Medical is seeking a procurement professional to manage the acquisition of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and hospital supplies for large-scale projects in Indonesia. You will develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as specified in Selection Criteria.
• 8 years of hospital procurement experience required.
• Knowledge of medical supply chains and procurement software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a procurement plan aligned with project timelines and budget.
• Identify the medical equipment, consumables, and infrastructure materials required for the hospital.
• Conduct market research to source the best suppliers, pricing and quality products.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and construction materials.
• Establish long term relationships with key vendors to ensure a stable supply chain.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contract terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
• Negotiate contract with vendors to secure the best prices, warranties, and service agreements.
• Ensure procurement contract comply with hospital regulations and legal requirements.
• Manage contract execution, renewals, and compliance throughout the hospital project lifecycle.
• Develop and monitor procurement budgets to ensure cost effective spending.
• Identify cost saving opportunities while maintaining high quality standards.
• Implement competitive bidding processes to achieve optimal pricing and value.
• Ensure all procured items comply with healthcare and hospital regulations.
• Maintain documentation and records for audit and regulatory inspections.
• Work closely with legal team to ensure procurement processes align with hospital policies .
• Coordinate the timely delivery and installation of medical equipment and hospital supplies.
• Work with logistics providers to manage shipping, customs clearance, and warehousing.
• Implement inventory control measures to avoid stock shortages or excess.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks such as supplier delays, price fluctuations, or regulatory changes.
• Ensure quality checks and inspections for all purchased equipment and material before installation.
• Collaborate with hospital project manager, medical teams, and construction teams to align procurement with operational needs.
• Provide regular reports on procurement progress, cost analysis, and supplier performance to senior management.
• Act as the key liaison between vendor and hospital leadership to resolve procurement related issues.
