Job summary

Sun Life Indonesia is seeking an Accounting Head to lead end-to-end accounting, closing, and reporting with emphasis on IFRS 17/PSAK 117 and PSAK compliance. The role guides governance, capital management, and cross-functional coordination with senior management, auditors, and regulators.

Key responsibilities include driving regulatory submissions to OJK, overseeing audits, and leading finance transformation initiatives while managing a skilled accounting team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 8–10 years in accounting, reporting, or audits.
• Experience in insurance/financial services preferred.
• Big Four background an advantage.
• Experience leading accounting teams and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead month/quarter/year-end closing and reporting per PSAK/IFRS.
• Maintain strong controls, reconciliations and governance.
• Oversee regulatory reporting to OJK and authorities.
• Drive IFRS17/PSAK117, Sharia separation and transformation projects.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidation across units.
• Coordinate external/internal audits and issue resolution.
• Provide analysis and guidance to senior management.
• Interpret new standards and translate into processes.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Tax, IT and other functions.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team.
