Job summary

Sun Life Of Canada Philippines Incorporated in Indonesia seeks an Accounting Head to oversee end-to-end accounting, financial closing, and regulatory reporting, ensuring IFRS/PSAK compliance, strong governance, and timely insights for management.

You will lead the accounting team, collaborate with Group Finance, auditors, and regulators, drive finance transformation, and translate complex standards into practical controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in accounting, financial reporting, or related finance functions.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
• Proven leadership of accounting teams and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with IFRS 17 / PSAK 117 and major finance transformations.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes.
• Maintain strong governance and internal controls, including reconciliations.
• Oversee regulatory and statutory reporting to authorities including timelines.
• Drive IFRS 17 / PSAK 117, Sharia business separation, and finance transformation projects.
• Manage intercompany accounting and cross-unit reconciliation.
• Coordinate audits and respond to audit observations with timely actions.
• Provide financial analysis and guidance to senior management.
• Translate new accounting standards into practical processes and controls.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Tax, IT, and other functions on cross-functional initiatives.
• Develop and coach the accounting team for capability development.
