Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Medan seeks a Branch Operations Associate to deliver reliable customer service at the Medan branch, handling daily inquiries and processing routine transactions with accuracy.

You will support cash handling, balancing, reconciliations, and required records in line with branch procedures, while adhering to KYC/AML, data privacy, and local regulations to ensure robust risk controls and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in Branch Operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Deep understanding of local policies and regulatory compliance.
• Accuracy and attention to detail in reconciliation and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline Medan branch support by handling daily customer enquiries and processing routine transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Support smooth branch operations by completing cash handling, balancing, reconciliations, and required records/checklists in line with branch procedures.
• Follow all applicable policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC/AML, fraud prevention, data privacy) and promptly escape any unusual or suspicious activity.
• Ensure end-to-end operational risk controls, accurate record-keeping, and timely submission in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
