Duties
- Ensure system health by performing regular backups, managing firmware, and mitigating lifecycle risks to keep systems running smoothly;
- Handle critical troubleshooting and system recovery in-house, reducing dependency on external vendors;
- Extensive experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software on GE PLC, Citect SCADA, and various Smart Protection Relays and Controllers;
- Expertise in Modbus and OPC protocols to integrate third-party systems with PLC;
- Proficient in managing computer networks, switches, firewalls, and enforcing security policies in line with company standards;
- Perform timely and documented maintenance for control systems and field instrumentation;
- Provide essential support to operations, maintenance, and project teams, including emergency call-outs outside of working hours;
- Responsible for system administration tasks such as backups, system cleaning, maintaining system history, and ensuring security policies are adhered to;
- Provide mentoring and coaching to develop the existing electrical and instrumentation team.
- Improve operational resilience in line with the growing complexity and scale of the company’s operations;
- Contribute to upcoming expansion projects and plans;
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, in Physics or Electrical Engineering;
- More than 7 years of experience managing multiple projects or cases in system development and solving major maintenance issues;
- Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to lead and develop the existing team.
- Experience in managing and securing systems, including computer networks and firewalls;
- Knowledge in System and Network Security;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedules;
- Self-Sufficiency with the ability to work long hours and minimal supervision;
- Ability to Handle Emergency Call-Outs outside of normal working hours when required;
- Awareness of company safety and environmental standards.
