Job summary

Siloam Hospitals Group (Tbk) seeks a Speech Therapist to implement and oversee rehabilitation service programs, focusing on patient healing and comfort. You will assess patients, determine appropriate therapy modalities, and coordinate with the medical team to ensure high-quality care.

You will educate patients and families on home care, document progress, and ensure continuity of care through follow-up sessions.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum 1 year experience as speech therapist
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare team
• National CCC-SLP certification and state licensure required

Responsibilities

• Implement speech therapy service programs and plans per standards to support patient healing.
• Attend briefings before scheduled patient appointments to obtain relevant information.
• Assess patient condition and complaints to plan programs and select modalities.
• Explain procedures, duration, and effects to patients to ensure informed consent and education.
• Carry out the speech therapy program per procedures until completion for safety and comfort.
• Educate patients and families on home care and schedule follow-up sessions.

Job description

•Implementing Medical Rehabilitation service programs and plans related to speech therapy services in accordance with service standards and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations to support the patient's healing and recovery process

•Attend briefings before scheduled patient appointments to obtain information regarding previous operational conditions

•Check the function and cleanliness of tools before use to ensure all tools used comply with standards

•Receive patients using service standards set by the Hospital to ensure consistency of service received by patients

•Carrying out an assessment regarding the condition and complaints of discomfort experienced by the patient in determining a diagnosis to plan the program and actions that will be given to the patient and selecting speech therapy modalities

•Analyzing integrated information from patient assessment data to determine the suitability of the speech therapy program programmed by the doctor with the assessment results

•Explain the procedure to be given, the length of time, and the effects of the procedure to the patient to ensure that the patient receives complete initial education

•Carry out the speech therapy program in accordance with established procedures until completion to ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure

•Educate patients and their families/companions after the procedure regarding home care and schedule the next session to ensure the continuity of the patient's healing process

•Carry out complete documentation of patient files before, during and after procedures as evaluation material to improve subsequent medical rehabilitation services

•Collect required data and/or make reports related to operational activities as accountability to superiors

•Implement procedures and practices for quality and safety services, including attending training, collecting data, documenting and/or making reports needed to support the achievement of hospital wide indicators and related department/unit targets

•Ability to develop tailored interventions and adapt therapy techniques based on individual patient needs and responses.

•Having National certification, such as the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), is required. State licensure to practice as a speech-language pathologist is also necessary.
