Qualifications

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles Jakarta as our Spa Manager. In this role, you will oversee the spa and wellness facilities, including spa treatments, the fitness centre and swimming pool, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence, team performance and business results. You will lead the spa and wellness team and work closely with other hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest journey that reflects the Raffles brand promise.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the spa, fitness centre, swimming pool and related wellness facilities, ensuring smooth operations and consistently exceptional guest experiences.
• Lead, coach and develop the spa and wellness team, including the Assistant Spa Manager, Spa Receptionists, Spa Therapists, Fitness Supervisor, Fitness Instructor, Pool Attendants and support colleagues.
• Maintain the highest standards of guest service, personalisation, hygiene, safety and facility presentation in line with Raffles brand standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue, improve profitability, strengthen guest retention and identify new business opportunities.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, control operational costs and optimise staffing and resource allocation.
• Oversee spa treatment menus, wellness programmes, service offerings and promotional activities, keeping offerings relevant to guest needs and wellness trends.
• Monitor guest feedback, resolve service concerns promptly and implement initiatives to continuously improve guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to support cross-selling, promotional initiatives and a seamless end-to-end guest journey.
• Manage team scheduling, training, performance and talent development, fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing work environment.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, LQA standards, health and safety requirements, hotel policies and applicable Indonesian laws and regulations.
• Translate departmental strategy into consistent daily execution, ensuring team accountability and adherence to the Ethics and CSR Charter, Raffles Brand Guidelines, all Policies and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures including Local Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

What will you bring to this role?

• A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field is required; a degree or certification in Spa Management, Wellness or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in spa management, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale resort; experience with an international hotel chain is an advantage.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team, develop talent and foster a positive work environment.
• A strong track record of delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high guest satisfaction in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated business acumen, including budgeting, cost control, revenue growth, pricing, promotions and upselling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with guests, colleagues and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness trends and holistic practices, with a commitment to ongoing learning and industry developments.
