Job summary

PT Haswin Hijau Perkasa seeks an experienced Shipping Officer/Shipping Coordinator to manage local/domestic shipping and logistics operations, including barge and container shipments, in Gresik, East Java.

You will arrange barge/vessel bookings for log and timber shipments, coordinate container bookings, and oversee end-to-end schedules, documentation, and coordination with shipping lines, agents, and logistics providers. Strong communication and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in shipping or logistics.
• Familiar with domestic shipping operations and barge/vessel bookings.
• Knowledge of shipping documents and port operations.
• Ability to coordinate with shipping lines, agents, and truckers.
• Willing to be based in Gresik, East Java.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Shipping Officer / Shipping Coordinator to manage both local/domestic shipping and logistics operations, including barge and container shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Arrange and coordinate barge/vessel bookings for log and timber shipments.

Coordinate container bookings and shipping arrangements for domestic shipments.

Manage end-to-end shipping schedules, documentation, and coordination with shipping lines, agents, and logistics providers.

Coordinate vessel/barge loading and unloading activities with the relevant teams.

Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery.

Handle shipping documents, including B/L, shipping instructions, delivery orders, and other relevant documents.

Liaise with customers, suppliers, shipping agents, ports, and internal teams.

Ensure all shipping activities comply with company procedures and applicable regulations.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or related positions.

Must be familiar with domestic shipping operations, particularly barge/vessel booking for log/timber cargo and container shipments.

Good understanding of shipping documentation and port operations.

Experienced in coordinating with shipping lines, vessel/barge owners, agents, and trucking/logistics providers.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently and manage multiple shipments/schedules.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with logistics/shipping systems is an advantage.

Willing to be based in Gresik, East Java.

Preferred: Candidates with experience in timber/logistics, forestry, wood products, or bulk cargo shipping will be highly preferred.
