Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Indonesia seeks a Technical Services Representative to provide product and application support in the field. You will interact with customers on site, answer technical questions, and coordinate with technical, sales, and operations teams to ensure issue resolution.

You will troubleshoot field concerns, apply coatings, and maintain safety and cleanliness on site, while ensuring customer-centric service and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Refers complaints to appropriate departments for investigation.
• Coordinates customers' service needs with other departments to ensure service.
• May receive orders.
• Applies masking tape over parts not to be coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to create smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce color per specifications.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate spray width and pressure.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply coat.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Finishes surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, wax, or similar.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment.
• May heat and spray wax onto products after testing.

Job description

The Technical Services Representative Interacts with customer or SHW facility traveling in the field to sites in person to provide product and application support, information; ensures the best technical service possible. Answers customers' technical or scientific questions regarding product or service and operation or maintenance including application and equipment. Converses with customers to obtain information, identify problem, and provides technical assistance and solutions. Liaises between technical, sales, and operations (plants and facilities). The TSR-Field trouble shoots and/or refers complaints of product or service issues to appropriate functions for investigation and resolution. Coordinates customers' service needs with other departments as required to ensure customer centric focus. Resolve complaints about product and application, explains how to use product or service correctly.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Refers complaints of product or service failure to appropriate departments for investigation.
• Coordinates customers' service needs with other departments as required to ensure customer service.
• May receive orders
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose, using wrenches.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Finishes surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, wax, or other materials.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment.
• May heat and spray wax onto products after they are tested.
