Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Service Technician to support customers and field facilities in Indonesia by applying coatings and providing technical guidance. The role involves hands-on painting, color matching, and routine maintenance of spray equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The technician will collaborate with sales and operations to resolve issues, perform paint mixing per codes, and prepare surfaces for coating, including masking and putty filling where needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Refer complaints of product or service failure to appropriate departments for investigation.
• Coordinate customers' service needs with other departments to ensure customer service.
• May receive orders
• Apply masking tape over parts not to be coated.
• Mix paints per paint codes.
• Fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Select and mix coating liquid to produce desired color according to specifications.
• Pour coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose.
• Turn sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate spray width and pressure.
• Pull trigger and direct spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coat areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush.
• Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, wax, or other materials.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• May heat and spray wax onto products after they are tested.

Description

The Technical Services Representative Interacts with customer or SHW facility traveling in the field to sites in person to provide product and application support, information; ensures the best technical service possible. Answers customers' technical or scientific questions regarding product or service and operation or maintenance including application and equipment. Converses with customers to obtain information, identify problem, and provides technical assistance and solutions. Liaises between technical, sales, and operations (plants and facilities). The TSR-Field trouble shoots and/or refers complaints of product or service issues to appropriate functions for investigation and resolution. Coordinates customers' service needs with other departments as required to ensure customer centric focus. Resolve complaints about product and application, explains how to use product or service correctly.
