Job summary

Mekari is seeking an SEO Content Specialist to create and implement comprehensive SEO content strategies, conduct keyword research, and develop high-quality content targeted to Indonesian and global audiences. You will optimize content for search engines, improve EEAT, and collaborate with marketing to align with brand messaging.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in SEO content roles, strong knowledge of SEO tools, and excellent Bahasa Indonesia and English writing skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience optimizing SEO campaigns as content specialist or SEO writer.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles with AI search optimization (AIO, AI Mode, LLMs).
• Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Looker Studio).
• Ability to craft original, human-centered content in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Job description

Create and implement comprehensive SEO Content strategies to improve search engine rankings, AI citation and drive organic traffic.

Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant keywords and optimize content accordingly.

Develop original, high-quality, & engaging content (e.g., blog posts, articles) that is optimized for search engines and resonates with our target audience.

Optimize articles/blog content to improve user engagement, EEAT, and rank in SERP.

Monitor Blog performance and analyze content metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize existing content.

Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify opportunities for differentiation.

Work closely with the SEO Specialist & outreach team to ensure content aligns with overall marketing goals and brand messaging.

Collaborate with other writers and stakeholders to brainstorm ideas and refine content strategies.

Requirements:

At least 2 years experience in optimize SEO campaign, as a content specialist or SEO writer, or similar role.

A strong understanding & practical knowledge of SEO principles with AI search optimization (e.g AIO, AI Mode, LLMs) and best practices.
Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Looker Studio).

Ability to create original, high-quality content by human for humans.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Strong research skills and the ability to write about diverse topics.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest SEO trends.

Experience with content management systems (CMS) especially Wordpress.
