Job summary

KBR is seeking a Technical Senior Safety Engineer to develop design safety philosophies and fire protection specifications for hydrocarbon/LNG projects in Indonesia. The role involves independent work on UFDs, P&IDs, and pressure/liquids calculations, plus active participation in hazard reviews and inter-disciplinary coordination.

Ideal candidates have a chemical engineering background with 10+ years of HSE experience, strong knowledge of international codes, and proficiency with safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years HSE engineering experience in hydrocarbon/LNG projects is required.
• Familiar with international codes and standards (DNV, NFPA) and ability to influence designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop design safety philosophies and fire protection system specifications.
• Create UFDs and P&IDs for fire protection systems and perform water/foam demand calculations and hydraulic checks.
• Support hazard reviews and risk analyses (HAZOP/HAZID/SIL/Bowtie/ALARP).
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors on safety packages and layout reviews.
