MGF Sourcing in Indonesia seeks a Senior Specialist for the Indonesia Team to communicate and implement compliance, sustainability and raw material traceability programs in the Country/Region to ensure effective compliance and minimize disruption.

The role involves factory visits, engaging with NGOs and trade associations, training vendors on compliance, and monitoring vendor performance with Country Manager and teams. Frequent travel is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in related field or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a sizeable organization.
• Good knowledge of garment factory operations and basic understanding of sustainable fiber is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Highlight problems and escalate to Head of Compliance & Sustainability Team and Country Manager for solutions.
• Develop effective upstream communications with Country Manager and merchandising teams.
• Visit factories to monitor social compliance, supply chain security and brand protection status.
• Assist mill vendors to understand supply chain mapping and traceability requirements.
• Engage with industry bodies and traceability providers for updates.
• Analyze vendor performance, train vendors on compliance requirements, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform operation tasks related to compliance areas as needed.

We are looking for a Senior Specialist for Indonesia Team to communicate and implement of compliance, sustainability and raw material traceability programs in the Country/Region to ensure effective compliance to minimize disruption to the business.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Highlight problems and escape to Head of Compliance & Sustainability Team and Country Manager for solution to minimize compliance, sustainability or raw material traceability risk to the company.
• Develop effective communications up-streams with Country Manager and merchandising teams for different customers.
• Factory visits for monitoring of social compliance, supply chain security and brand protection status, and incident management and reporting.
• Assist mill vendors to understand the supply chain mapping and raw material traceability and develop system to maintain records to meet the requirements from law regulations and customer expectations.
• Engage with Better Work Indonesia, local NGOs, trade associations, 3rd party compliance organizations and traceability service providers for industry updates and initiatives.
• Conduct analysis on vendor performance in a timely and accurate manner; provide training to vendors (Vendor Compliance Officers) for MGF and customers’ compliance requirements, and follow up on the Corrective Action Plans.
• Perform all operation related duties corresponding to each compliance area on need basis.

Job Specifications:-

• Degree in related field or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a sizeable organization, preferably in garment buying office/garment industry
• Good knowledge of garment factory operations with basic knowledge on fabric or yarn production; basic understanding of sustainable fiber is preferred
• Ability to operate in a multicultural environment; ability to build strong internal & external relationships
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; strong attention to detail and follow-up
• Strong analytical skills and proven judgment
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Experience with crisis avoidance and management and conflict resolution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
