Job summary

KG Media (Kompas Gramedia Group of Media) seeks a skilled Business Analyst/Systems Analyst to drive requirement analysis and solution design across IT and business teams in Jakarta.

You will elicit BRD/FSD/SRS/Use Case, document data flows, mentor junior analysts, coordinate testing (UAT), and support change management while translating business needs into technical implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Accounting with GPA > 3.0.
• 3–5 years as Business/System/Solution Analyst, with mentoring experience.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and database concepts.
• Familiar with SDLC and standard tools like JIRA/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Examine current systems to identify gaps and improvements.
• Elicit and document BRD/FSD/SRS/Use Case from stakeholders.
• Document interfaces, data flows, and ERD for solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts; ensure deliverable quality.
• Translate requirements into solution designs with IT/business teams.
• Design and oversee testing programs, including UAT.
• Train users and prepare training materials.
• Conduct vendor evaluations and cost/benefit analysis.
• Support change management and assess risks.
• Prepare proposals and progress reports for management.

• Examine and evaluate current systems and business processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business & system requirements (BRD/FSD/SRS/Use Case) from stakeholders, including management-level users.
• Document system interfaces, technical specifications, and data flow/ERD for proposed solutions.
• Lead, guide, and review the work of junior/associate analysts within the team, including mentoring and quality control of deliverables.
• Translate business requirements into solution design and provide recommendations on architecture/approach in collaboration with IT and business teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (development, QA, infrastructure, business units) to design and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Design and oversee comprehensive testing programs, including coordinating and signing off User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Train users on new applications, prepare training materials, and provide post-implementation support.
• Conduct vendor evaluation and comparison (cost- benefit analysis, risk assessment) and provide recommendations to management.
• Support change management activities and assess risks/impacts of proposed solutions on existing systems and business operations.
• Prepare and present solution proposals, progress reports, or business cases to management/stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information System / Computerized Accounting with GPA > 3.00
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / System Analyst / Solution Analyst, with prior experience leading or mentoring team members
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong command of SQL (advanced querying, performance/query optimization), not just basic statements
  • Solid understanding of database design concepts and techniques, able to produce ERD and data modeling documentation
  • Familiar with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall) and standard tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Enterprise Architect)
  • Understand transaction and reporting flows; able to prototype transactions/reports using MS Excel or similar tools
  • Able to produce complete application/solution design documentation (BRD, FSD, SRS, Use Case, technical specs)
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to manage stakeholders across technical and business functions
  • Leadership skills , able to guide, coach, and review the work of junior analysts
  • Good business acumen and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
