Job summary

JAPFA is looking for a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain software modules and services, working with QA/DevOps on CI/CD and releases. The role requires strong SQL, Python/Node.js, and BI tooling experience, with willingness to be based in Surabaya.

You will engage in code reviews, debugging, and production issue resolution while contributing to documentation and continuous technical improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong SQL skills with understanding of databases, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau) and Python/Node.js; API integration.
• Familiar with SDLC/Agile/Scrum and Jira/Confluence; willing to be based in Surabaya.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software modules and services.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code in line with engineering standards.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and root-cause analysis of defects.
• Support agile development activities including sprint execution and backlog tasks.
• Work with QA and DevOps teams on testing, CI/CD, and release activities.
• Monitor application performance and support production issue resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation and development artifacts.
• Support continuous improvement, refactoring, and technical enhancements.
