Job summary

OSI Electronics in Batam, Indonesia, is seeking an SMT Production Supervisor to lead daily SMT lines, drive smooth startups, and optimize changeovers.

You will coordinate manpower, monitor placement machines, printers, SPI, AOI, and reflow ovens, and ensure production output meets schedules and delivery requirements.

This role requires coaching operators, enforcing IPC quality standards, and partnering with Quality and Engineering to address issues and reduce defects.

Qualifications

• Min. Senior High School or equivalent.
• Experience of at least 1 year in SMT production.
• Experience leading SMT production lines in high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise SMT production lines on a daily basis.
• Ensure smooth production startup, changeover, and shutdown activities.
• Coordinate manpower allocation to maximize productivity and line efficiency.
• Monitor SMT line performance, including placement machines, printers, SPI, AOI, and reflow ovens.
• Ensure production output meets planned schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Support employee development and skill enhancement programs.
• Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Conduct daily production briefings and communicate production priorities.
• Lead, train, and motivate SMT operators and line personnel.
• Support first article inspections and process validation activities.
• Coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams to address production and process issues.
• Monitor defect trends and implement corrective actions to reduce rejects and rework.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards, IPC requirements, and work instructions.
