Job summary

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions seeks a Senior Service Technician based in North Sulawesi to support PPH Rock Drill operations and underground equipment maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting, parts replacement, and field service across customer sites, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in mining equipment maintenance, strong electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and experience with Sandvik drill machines.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of experience in maintenance, ideally in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
• Proven track record in maintaining and troubleshooting Sandvik or similar OEM mining equipment (e.g., loaders, drill rigs, underground trucks).
• Have a strong foundation in electric and hydraulic
• Have knowledge and understanding and experience of Sandvik Drill machine (s series-x series).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Sandvik underground drilling equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Repair and replace parts, following instructions and technical equipment manuals.
• Interpret basic mechanical designs and maintenance manuals, assembling and dismantling to make necessary alignments and adjustments.
• Perform maintenance tasks independently and verify task results and tracks operating equipment to detect possible problems.
• Report and document executed work according to relevant procedures and work instructions.
• Basic customer communication – can explain basic operating procedures and refer to responsible/relevant person.
• Give feedback to line manager/team leader with regards to equipment maintenance and service challenges.
• Limited guidance to level 1/trainees.
• Ensure that allwork procedures (utilizing the tools provided), are carried out according to safety standards.
• Prepare and execute all activities in line with SHEQ rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promote awareness, including addressing anomalies to others.

Job Summary

Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Senior Service Technician based in Toka – North Sulawesi.

This position is responsible for PPH Rock Drill support for Underground Equipment Operation by Machmahon

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE

• As the matrix organization you will be collaborating with many people within Sandvik in both global and SEA regions, including Business Line Managers and factories in Tampere and Alachua.
• Report to representative Site Supervisor, Workshop Superintendent/Field Superintendent
• Collaboration with the parts team and Roto team that working on the same area.

• Strong basic skills in component root cause analyst
• Able to effectively communicate any issues and problems and their solutions
• Active and willing to work collaboratively in a team, including sharing experiences and knowledge with lower-level team members
• Able to work in under pressure situations and provide a positive situation within the team

PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY

• Field - Any environment (Location Customer Sites / Workshops)
• Willing to travel globally within Sandvik area and/or from site to site within country of Indonesia.
