Job summary

Techconnect.Id is seeking a Remote GIS Analyst to support mineral exploration projects across regions. This fully remote role focuses on managing spatial data, performing analyses, and creating maps to guide geology teams and project managers.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in ArcGIS and QGIS, develop spatial databases, and collaborate with globally distributed geologists to identify promising targets while ensuring data quality and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geology or related field.
• 4+ years of professional GIS analysis experience, ideally in mining/exploration.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS (Pro/Desktop) and QGIS; scripting experience in Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update spatial databases for mineral exploration projects.
• Create high-quality thematic maps, cross-sections, and geological visualizations for reporting and decision-making.
• Perform spatial analysis to identify and prioritize exploration targets based on geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
• Collaborate with remote teams of geologists and engineers to integrate GIS data into exploration strategies.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.
