Job summary

Grab in Indonesia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional programmes across People, Technology, Engineering, Product, and Operations. You will align stakeholders, manage risks, and ensure delivery of complex initiatives.

The role emphasizes using GenAI and automation to accelerate planning, reporting, and documentation, while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment. Onsite in Indonesia, you will report to the Manager, Program Management.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager leading complex initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects including HR and large software rollouts.
• Strong understanding of software implementation, testing, rollout, change management.
• Ability to turn unclear requirements into structured delivery plans.
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across countries, cultures, and departments.
• Hands-on experience building AI, automation, or workflow solutions.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple workstreams across People, Technology, Engineering, Product, Operations, and regional teams to deliver agreed outcomes.
• Establish and maintain project governance, including status reporting, RAID logs, decision registers, steering forums, and escalation paths.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods based on the needs and complexity of each programme.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies early, drive mitigation actions, and elevate decisions.
• Use GenAI tools to improve project planning, status reporting, meeting documentation, risk analysis, and workflow efficiency while applying appropriate confidentiality and review controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, templates.

Get to Know the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional programmes across multiple domains. You will drive business outcomes via the projects you manage, align stakeholders, track risks and dependencies.

You will work closely with People, Technology, Engineering, Product, Operations, and country teams. You will also help strengthen PMO practices, reporting, governance, and delivery standards across the organisation.

As a Senior Project Manager, you're expected to actively use AI tools to accelerate planning, reporting, risk analysis, and documentation and to bring an experimental mindset to identifying where AI and automation can remove friction from delivery work, while applying sound judgement on confidentiality and data handling.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager, leading complex projects, transformation initiatives, or technology-enabled process improvements.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving Human Resources (HR), employee experience, or workforce-related processes, including enterprise systems implementation or large-scale software rollouts.
• Strong understanding of software implementation, testing, rollout, change management, and adoption.
• Experienced work through unclear requirements, prioritise competing demands, and convert ambiguity into structured delivery plans.
• Experience managing projects with stakeholders across different countries, cultures, and departments.
• Hands-on experience building AI, automation, or workflow solutions for real business problems.
• Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and workflows.'
• Combine strategic thinking with hands-on project execution.

Good to Have

• Experience applying human oversight, data protection, and risk controls when implementing AI solutions.
• Experience leading M&A integration projects.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
