Job summary

Grab is seeking a Technical Program Manager based on-site in Jakarta to manage a portfolio of complex, cross-functional programs across SEA. You will align engineering and business teams, plan requirements, assess risks, and drive timely delivery of features affecting millions of passengers, drivers, and merchants daily.

As a TPM, you will bridge engineering and business stakeholders, accelerate impact, build effective teams, remove impediments, and streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years experience managing Agile software projects.
• Background in project delivery or technical leadership with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to influence leadership stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Well versed in AI technology.
• Experience in fast-paced environments requiring autonomy and prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage project timelines, milestones, progress tracking, risks, and impediments.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, Analysts and QA to ensure successful delivery.
• Lead communications to align multiple engineering groups on complex programs.
• Coach teams on delivery frameworks and methodologies suitable for their needs.
• Drive roadmap planning and prioritization processes.
• Identify ways to improve how the organization delivers.

Largely based in Singapore, our team members are spread across various countries managing multiple initiatives to deliver features that touch the everyday lives of millions of customers across South East Asia through Grab.

Get to Know the Role

You will manage a portfolio of complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish across a wide range of topics - primarily focused on how Grab serves businesses across SEA. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and articulate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

As a TPM you'll be the bridge between various Engineering teams as well as with business teams, by working with people from all parts of Grab's online and offline/operational teams to deliver new features to market that impact the lives of millions of passengers, drivers and merchants every day. Your mission is to accelerate impact, build performing teams, remove inefficiencies, drive effective prioritization and streamline tech processes. You will report to the Senior Technical Program Management Leader, and will be based fully on-site in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• General Program management - manage project timelines, define milestones, track and report progress, identify risks and resolve impediments
• Work with teams of Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, Analysts and QA to ensure successful program delivery.
• Lead communication efforts to align multiple engineering organizations on complex programs.
• Coach teams on multiple delivery frameworks and methodologies best suited to their execution needs
• Drive roadmap planning and prioritization processes
• Find ways to help teams and the organization improve how it delivers.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Min. 5 years experience managing Agile software projects
• You have a background in project delivery or technical leadership, complemented by strong organizational and interpersonal skills to enable your success in Grab's fast-paced environment.
• Ability to drive execution and deliver results by communicating effectively with, and influencing, leadership stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Well verse in using AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology
• Experience working in a dynamic fast moving environment where autonomy and self-decision making and prioritisation is needed.
