Job summary

PT ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the PMO and oversee strategic capital projects from Pre-FEED through EPC, commissioning, and close-out. You will bridge engineering disciplines, EPC contractors, licensors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safety, quality, cost, schedule, and long-term reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Energy, Industrial Manufacturing, or EPC projects.
• At least 5 years in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, Lead Engineer, Package Engineer, or EPC Engineering roles.
• Strong exposure to Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Multidisciplinary coordination across engineering, procurement, construction, operations, HSSE, licensors, contractors, and vendors.
• Solid understanding of engineering standards such as ASME, API, IEC, ISO, and related codes.
• PMP® or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Willing to travel or be assigned overseas as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities to align with scope, schedule, budget, quality, HSSE, and standards.
• Serve as a key technical interface among engineering teams, EPC contractors, licensors, consultants, vendors, procurement, construction, and operations.
• Support execution across Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, commissioning, start-up, and close-out stages.
• Review engineering documents, drawings, specs, calculations, vendor submissions, and change requests.
• Support technical bid evaluations, clarification meetings, and vendor document follow-up.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues impacting delivery.
• Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOPs, and coordination meetings.
• Prepare progress reports, technical updates, and action trackers.
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement within the PMO.

We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and play a key role in delivering strategic capital projects from Pre-FEED and FEED through EPC execution, commissioning, and project close-out. In this role, you will be the bridge between engineering disciplines, EPC contractors, licensors, vendors, and internal project stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Group Head PMO, you will help ensure engineering activities are well-coordinated, technically sound, and aligned with project goals for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and long-term operational reliability. Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Energy, Industrial Manufacturing, or EPC projects.
• Minimum 5 years in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, Lead Engineer, Package Engineer, or EPC Engineering roles.
• Strong exposure to Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Solid capability in multidisciplinary coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, operations, HSSE, licensors, contractors, and vendors.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards such as ASME, API, IEC, ISO, and related industry codes.
• Familiar with RFIs, Technical Queries, document control, engineering change management, technical reviews, and vendor document management.
• PMP® or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Willing to travel or be assigned to contractor/consultant/project offices, including overseas assignments when required.
