Amman Mineral International in Indonesia seeks an experienced Project Manager/Engineering Leader to coordinate multidisciplinary reviews and drive value across EPCM projects at the Batu Hijau mine site.
You will supervise engineering quality, conduct constructability reviews, and manage safety and risk throughout execution, commissioning, and handover processes.
Work Location: Batu Hijau Mine Site, West Sumbawa, NTB
Roster: 5:2 (Monday to Friday) Site-Based
Lead multidisciplinary technical reviews covering civil, structural, mechanical, piping, process, electrical, instrumentation, utility, marine, and infrastructure systems.
Review engineering deliverables, drawings, specifications, datasheets, calculations, and vendor documentation to ensure technical quality and constructability.
Drive value engineering and constructability initiatives to improve project cost, schedule, operability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.
Support the Project Manager in developing and integrating project execution strategies, project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
Facilitate technical coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations/maintenance teams.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities across multiple concurrent projects.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify technical, schedule, procurement, interface, and construction risks.
Review and resolve RFIs, field changes, design deviations, technical queries, and multidisciplinary engineering issues.
Conduct site inspections, technical reviews, and construction readiness assessments.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Contractors, Consultants, Procurement, HSE, and Project Controls teams to remove execution barriers and maintain project momentum.
Monitor engineering deliverables, procurement status, contractor productivity, construction progress, and critical project milestones.
Evaluate technical impacts of design changes, material substitutions, field conditions, and construction constraints.
Support schedule recovery planning, acceleration initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
Provide technical input for cost forecasting, quantity verification, progress measurement, earned value analysis, and project performance reporting.
Assist in the evaluation of contractor variations, change orders, claims, and commercial submissions.
Ensure construction and engineering activities comply with company standards, project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes.
Coordinate inspections, testing, quality verification, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing activities.
Review NCRs and drive effective corrective actions and close-out.
Support project completion activities, including as-built documentation, equipment dossiers, commissioning records, and final handover packages.
Champion a strong safety culture across all project activities.
Lead technical risk reviews, constructability assessments, JHAs, JSAs, and engineering-based risk mitigation initiatives.
Ensure engineering and construction activities comply with company HSE requirements and regulatory standards.
Identify project risks early and implement practical mitigation measures to protect project objectives.
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to Project Engineers and junior team members.
Act as a key technical interface between contractors, consultants, vendors, operations personnel, and project stakeholders.
Represent the Project Manager in technical and project coordination meetings when required.
Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Marine, Naval, Industrial, or related disciplines).
PMP certification or progress toward PMP certification is highly regarded.
Minimum 8 years of experience in project management, engineering management, construction management, EPCM projects, or capital project delivery.
Experience delivering projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction interfaces.
Experience working with contractors, consultants, vendors, and operational stakeholders in complex industrial environments.
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects is highly desirable.
Preferable experience working in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, infrastructure, EPC, EPCM, oil & gas, power generation, or comparable industrial sectors.
Strong understanding of project management principles including scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder management.
Ability to interpret engineering documents including PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangements, technical specifications, datasheets, and vendor packages.
Experience in constructability reviews, value engineering, technical problem-solving, and risk-based decision-making.
Working knowledge of contract administration, change management, contractor claims, and project controls.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent scheduling tools.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in multidisciplinary project environments.
