Job summary

Facetology is seeking a Packaging Development Manager to lead the development of packaging for skincare and beauty products. You will manage end-to-end packaging projects from concept to mass production and collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Procurement, QA/QC, and suppliers to ensure quality and timely launches.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years’ experience in packaging development within cosmetics or FMCG, with strong leadership and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Packaging Development, preferably in cosmetics, skincare, FMCG, or beauty.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end packaging development projects, from concept to mass production.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, structures, manufacturing processes, and packaging testing.
• Experience handling primary and secondary packaging, such as bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, airless packaging, cartons, and labels.
• Proven ability to manage suppliers, negotiate costs, and ensure packaging quality and timely delivery.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Detail-oriented, innovative, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative and functional packaging for skincare, cosmetic, and beauty products.
• Manage end-to-end packaging development from concept to mass production.
• Identify and evaluate materials, structures, and technologies to ensure quality and aesthetics.
• Collaborate with R&D, NPD, Marketing, Procurement, QA/QC, and suppliers to meet requirements and timelines.
• Manage packaging suppliers, including selection, cost negotiation, quality evaluation, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure packaging meets safety, compatibility, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive packaging cost optimization, innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the Packaging Development team to hit milestones and business objectives.
