Job summary

Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner seeking a Senior Operations Engineering Manager to lead the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering processes at our Batam, Indonesia site.

You will direct methods, processes and operations for both new and existing products, ensuring efficient use of materials, equipment, and resources for cost-effective, quality products and customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with broad-based management and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Directs the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the engineering function.
• Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods, processes and operations for both new and existing products.
• Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and resources in producing cost-effective, quality products and customer solutions.
• Participates in the review of customer contracts and engineering designs by outlining requirements and considerations.
• Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.
• Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives.
• Directs the activities of engineers and staff and is responsible for planning, budgeting, and maintaining costs for a broad functional area.
• Interacts regularly with executives, customers and outside regulatory agencies.
• Drives engineering strategies to deliver customer requirements and recommend Flex capabilities in manufacturing and engineering services.
• Provides technical supplier management as related to product development and integration.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field

Master’s or MBA degree preferred

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
