Job summary

PT. GRAND INDO PERKASA in JAMBI is seeking a Senior Mekanik Alat Berat to overhaul, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.

You will manage hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and undercarriage components while guiding junior mechanics in the field. The role requires a minimum of five years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance, hands-on repair of Excavators, Dozers, Dump Trucks, and Graders, and the ability to read shop

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience with Excavator, Dozer, Dump Truck, Grader.
• Able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Willing to be placed in JAMBI project.
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhaul, repair, troubleshooting, and routine preventive maintenance on heavy equipment units
• Handle damage to hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and undercarriage of heavy equipment
• Ensure all heavy equipment fleet units operate optimally and safely (ready to use)
• Create daily work reports and damage analysis of units
• Direct and guide junior mechanics or helpers in the field

The role involves ensuring the entire fleet of heavy equipment operates optimally and safely, managing hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and undercarriage repairs, and directing junior mechanics and helpers in the field.

• Perform overhaul, repair, troubleshooting, and routine preventive maintenance on heavy equipment units
• Handle damage to hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and undercarriage of heavy equipment
• Ensure all heavy equipment fleet units operate optimally and safely (ready to use)
• Create daily work reports and damage analysis of units
• Direct and guide junior mechanics or helpers in the field

About you

• Minimum 5 years experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in the mining industry
• Proficient in repairing various types of heavy equipment units such as Excavator, Dozer, Dump Truck, Grader
• Able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics (shop manual)
• Heavy equipment training certificate (such as BMC / Basic Mechanic Course) is an added value
• Able to work under pressure, honest, disciplined, and have good communication
• Willing to be placed in JAMBI project
