Job summary

PT. Alam Raya Abadi is seeking a skilled Excavator Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on mining excavators, with a strong focus on hydraulic, engine, and electrical systems.

The role requires mentoring junior staff and maintaining accurate service records. Ideal candidates have a technical diploma in mechanical engineering or related field, 3+ years of hands-on excavator experience, and proficiency in welding and fabrication.

Qualifications

• Technical school diploma or higher in mechanical engineering, automotive repair, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on excavator repair experience.
• Experience with KOMATSU PC200, VOLVO, HITACHI excavator models preferred.
• Skilled in welding, cutting, and basic metal fabrication; certifications are a plus.
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia for daily work is preferred.
• Prior heavy equipment experience in mining operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, scheduled servicing, and breakdown repairs on mining excavators.
• Independently diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, engines, and electrical circuits.
• Lead and mentor junior mechanics; conduct on-the-job training.
• Maintain equipment service records; develop preventive maintenance schedules; forecast spare parts requirements.
• Assist with repairs of other heavy equipment including dump trucks and bulldozers.
• Strictly adhere to all mine site safety procedures and standards.
