DayOne Data Centers Ltd. in Asia-Pacific is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems across our data centres.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of data centre mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, fire suppression).
• Proven experience leading technical teams and 24/7 operations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to manage complex mechanical challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in data centres.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and technicians; ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance with vendors/contractors.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance and maintain documentation for audits.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with other teams for integrated system performance.
• Support strategic initiatives, budgeting, and cost management for mechanical operations.
