Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Indonesia seeks a Senior Technical Advisor for Overall Mechanical, focusing on static and rotating equipment for Offshore, FPSO and LNG projects.

You will lead engineering efforts across feasibility to detailed design, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and ensure compliance with international codes (ASME/API) while delivering technically robust packages and reliable equipment selections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed university.
• Minimum 15–20 years offshore project experience, with at least two offshore projects as lead engineer.
• Experience on EPC projects involving offshore, FPSO, fixed platforms, and wellhead.
• Familiar with ASME and API codes and standards.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory role for static and rotating equipment on offshore projects.
• Design and select specialty rotating/static equipment for EPC projects through all phases.
• Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for equipment and packages.
• Coordinate work with inter-disciplines, clients and suppliers.
• Evaluate bids and prepare technical bid tabulation reports.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and model reviews; close out mechanical issues.
• Conduct vendor document and design reviews for specialty equipment.
• Support technical proposals.

Senior Technical Advisor - Overall Mechanical (Static & Rotating Equipment Lead)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with focus on static and rotating equipment/packages to support our projects in the oil and gas sector.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform Supervisory Role for Static and Rotating Equipment/Packages on Offshore Projects.
• Responsible for the design and selection of specialty rotating/static equipment on EPC projects such as Process gas Compressors, Gas Turbines, Sea Water Injection Pumps, etc. through the various engineering work phases (i.e. Feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED studies, and detailed engineering for Offshore, FPSO and LNG Projects), pressure vessels, tanks etc.
• Responsible for Selection of specialty rotating/static equipment on EPC projects in compliance with International API codes & Client Specification requirements.
• Responsible for preparing technical specifications and data sheets for specialty rotating/static equipment and packages.
• Responsible for complete Requisitioning of specialty rotating equipment and packages.
• Coordinates work with inter-disciplines, client and suppliers.
• Responsible for the technical evaluation of Bids; prepares technical bid tabulation reports by interacting with Suppliers, clients and inter disciplines.
• Participates HAZID, HAZOP, Model Review studies for packages, co-ordinates and close out Mechanical related issues.
• Performs vendor document and design reviews for speciality rotating equipment and packages.
• Supports technical Proposals.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from reputed University.
• Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects with reputed international clients with minimum two Offshore Projects worked as Lead Engineer.
• Minimum 15~20 years of Offshore Project experience (Well Head, Fixed Platforms and FPSO) is preferred.
• Shall be well conversant with International Industry Codes such as ASME, API etc.
• Should possess coordination / communication skills and very good knowledge of spoken and written English language.
• Experience with Norsok Requirements and UKCS regulations will be an added advantage.
