Job summary

Beca in Jakarta seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings MEP team. You will lead the delivery of HVAC, ventilation, and building services packages across a range of projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ experience in a consulting engineering environment delivering building services projects.
• Strong technical expertise in ACMV and mechanical building services design.
• Proven experience leading mechanical design packages on medium to large-scale building projects.
• Sound knowledge of Indonesian and international standards and design practices.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams during project delivery.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Proficiency in relevant design and engineering software.
• Desirable: Indonesian SKK certification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical engineering packages across all project stages.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate with electrical, hydraulic, fire, structural, architectural, and BIM disciplines.
• Act as technical lead, ensuring designs are practical and compliant.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
• Review design deliverables to maintain quality and excellence.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and engage in meetings and workshops.
• Collaborate with regional teams across Indonesia and APAC to deliver projects efficiently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, technical innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
