Job summary

PCI Private Limited, part of the Celestica family, seeks a senior VAVE/Cost Engineer to drive value engineering initiatives in a global EMS setting. Based in Batam, you will identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze materials and manufacturing processes, and lead VAVE projects from idea to implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• At least 5 years of EMS or MNC experience
• Strong analysis skills with cost estimation knowledge
• Knowledge of raw material price trends
• Strong supply base knowledge in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product cost savings and build VAVE project pipeline
• Develop methodologies and templates for target costs based on data
• Analyze design for materials, manufacturing and supply chain for VAVE opportunities
• Execute and drive VAVE projects from idea to implementation
• Coordinate with global and local stakeholders including suppliers for samples and testing
• Build and manage a VAVE project funnel to support business goals
• Establish and update teardown, benchmarking and VAVE processes

Responsibilities

• Responsible to contribute to product cost savings through identifying opportunities for cost savings & build value engineering project pipeline
• Develop methodologies, templates and approach for target costs based on product analysis data
• Analyze and evaluate design for materials, manufacturing process & supply chain for value analysis / value engineering opportunities
• Execute & drive VAVE projects starting from Idea generation to implementation
• Co-ordinate with Global & local stake holders including suppliers for project execution including samples, prototypes and testing requirements
• Build active VAVE project funnel and build active VAVE project funnel and to drive multiple VAVE projects in a timely manner to support business goal target
• Establish and update processes for execution on teardown, benchmarking and VAVE requests

Requirements

• Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of studies
• At least 5 years of working experience in the EMS or an MNC environment
• Strong analysis skills, knowledge in cost estimation, raw material market price/trend
• Strong supply base knowledge/experience in Indonesia/Malaysia/Singapore markets
• Strong knowledge in Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical commodities
• Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
