Job summary

PT PCI Elektronik Internasional Batam is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure compliance with customer quality requirements and applicable standards in a fast-paced EMS manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include leading CAPA/8D, audits, and data-driven quality improvement, with knowledge of PCBA/SMT and NPI processes essential for continuous yield improvement.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical background (S1/D4/D3) required.
• 2–3 years of quality engineering experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS.
• Experience with PCBA, SMT, testing or box-build.
• Familiar with IPC A-610, ESD standards, inspection/testing methods.
• Experience with NPI, prototypes, pilot runs, and production transfers.
• Customer-focused with proactive problem solving.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

• Coordinate with regulatory authorities to obtain and maintain product certifications.
• Plan and support customer and supplier audits for compliance.
• Lead root cause investigations and close CAPA/8D effectively.

• Prepare and present 8D reports per timelines.
• Produce weekly and monthly quality performance reports.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and improve yield.

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Qualifications :

Engineering Degree/Technical background (S1/D4/D3)

Good in English both Speaking & Written

2-3 years of quality engineering experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS environment.

Experience with PCBA, SMT Process, testing, or box-build manufacturing is preferred

Working knowledge of IPC A-610, ESD Standards, and inspection/testing methodologies

Experience in NPI, prototype builds, pilot runs, and production transfers

Customer-focused with a proactive problem-solving mindset

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Job Description :

Ensure full adherence to customer quality requirements and applicable regulatory standards

Coordinate and liaise with relevant regulatory authorities to obtain and maintain product certifications

Plan, prepare for, and support customer and supplier audits to ensure compliance and audit readiness

Lead root cause investigation and drive timely and effective closure of CAPA/8D

Manage customer quality issues, including complaint handling, RMA analysis, and failure investigations

Prepare, review and present comprehensive 8D reports to customers as per agreed timelines

Compile and present weekly and monthly quality performance reports for management and customers

Lead or actively support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, improving product yield, and enhancing overall quality performance

Special Skills :

Good problem-solving techniques, analytical skills & basic statistics

Good knowledge in PFMEA, Control Plan, FAI & PPAP

Awareness (minimum), training (preferred) and / certification on QMS standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, ISO 13485, ISO14001)

Able to operate Microsoft outlook, word, excel & PowerPoint
