Job summary

Converse seeks a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our Indonesia team, based at the Converse factory. You will be part of the Product Supply Chain, Footwear – Manufacturing & Engineering, collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering teams and Factory Partners to deliver quality footwear.

The role requires 5–8 years in engineering/automation/lean, a bachelor’s in engineering or related field (master preferred), data-driven decision making, and proficiency in MS Office and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in engineering, product development, automation, lean, manufacturing, or quality management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Data-driven with ability to use data for fact-based decisions.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Key partners are the Manufacturing Engineering teams, Factory Partners and other functions such as Consumer Creation, Sourcing, Responsible Supply Chain, and Cost Engineering. You will work at the country level across all partners located within the country and will strive to ensure connectivity with the local Partner Management Office (PMO) leadership team.

• Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in one or more of the areas of Engineering, Product Development, Automation, Lean, Manufacturing, or Quality Management.
• Bachelor's degree with a focus in Engineering, Business Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Data Driven, understands the use of data and application of statistical methods and tools, able to leverage data for fact-based decision making.
• Experience in applying knowledge of Manufacturing Operations, including systems, processes, technologies, and materials required to consistently produce finished goods to a measurable standard, to identify opportunities and drive progress against goals.
• Forward and Conceptual Thinking, proactively seeks diversity of inputs and potential solutions; consistently challenges the status quo and thinks beyond traditional solutions and approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in working with multiple functions and stakeholders.
• Fluent verbal and written English language ability.
• Proficient in standard MS Office programs and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
