Job summary

PT API INTERNATIONAL INDONESIA is seeking an experienced senior accounting/finance leader to oversee all accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. The role requires 5–8 years of experience with at least 3 years in a management or lead position, and a deep knowledge of cost accounting, BOM, variance analysis, and machine hour rates.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with ERP platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365) and capable of guiding ERP implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economy, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or CA certification highly preferred.
• 5–8 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role.
• Deep understanding of standard manufacturing Cost Accounting (BOM, Variance Analysis, Scrap/Waste Management, Machine Hour Rates).
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting to shareholder groups; familiarity with JV board reporting protocols.
• Fluency in English for communication with international partner executives, board members, and regional management teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close procedures.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure data integrity.
• Manage the annual budget process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Direct and supervise accounting staff, providing training, mentoring and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and statutory obligations.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and software to improve efficiency.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital management to optimise liquidity.
