Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Law; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Hold a valid PERADI license.
• 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably including in-house management or a law firm.
• Experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, governance, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian laws and regulations relevant to corporate and commercial operations.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and advise senior management.
• Experience leading or supervising a legal team is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

An established business in Bali is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Manager to oversee its legal function and provide strategic legal advice to senior management. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the company's legal interests, strengthening corporate governance, managing legal risks, and supporting the business's commercial and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on corporate, commercial, operational, and regulatory matters
• Oversee corporate governance, corporate documentation, resolutions, powers of attorney, and other relevant legal instruments
• Ensure the company's business activities and corporate arrangements are consistent with applicable Indonesian laws and regulations
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements, including service agreements, vendor contracts, partnership arrangements, property management agreements, and other business contracts
• Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate provisions to protect the company's legal and commercial interests
• Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the company's operations
• Advise management on legal compliance requirements, regulatory obligations, and appropriate mitigation measures
• Identify, assess, and manage legal risks arising from business operations, commercial relationships, and contractual commitments
• Oversee legal disputes, claims, complaints, and other contentious matters involving the company
• Lead, supervise, and develop the legal team, including work allocation, performance management, and professional development

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Law (Sarjana Hukum); a Master's degree in Law or a relevant field is an advantage
• Hold a valid PERADI license
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably including in-house legal management or a reputable law firm
• Demonstrated experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution
• Strong working knowledge of Indonesian laws and regulations relevant to corporate and commercial operations
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters, negotiate commercial agreements, and advise senior management
• Experience leading or supervising a legal team is strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities
• High professional integrity, sound judgement, attention to detail, and a practical, solutions-oriented approach
