Job summary

Nusantech in Jakarta is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powered by Java Spring Boot. You will shape API design, drive quality, and contribute to system architecture as a senior member of the engineering team.

You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with product teams, and lead initiatives to improve performance, security, and reliability while upholding best practices and thorough testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development in Java.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and Hibernate.
• RESTful API design and versioning.
• Git and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
• Clean architecture, design patterns and best practices.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Unit testing with JUnit/Mockito; familiarity with monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Develop RESTful microservices and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, product managers, and QA to deliver features.
• Optimize performance and database queries.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide long-term fixes.
• Document code, APIs, and system flows.
