MatchaTalent is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (HR Governance & Compliance) based in Bali, Indonesia. The role oversees HR governance, employment compliance, and organizational development, advising the founder while operationally designing HR policies and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will standardize HR frameworks, manage complex employee relations, and build scalable HR practices to support ongoing expansion, with a hybrid work arrangement in Bali.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience including 5+ years in HRBP/HR leadership roles.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality, or property investment is preferred.
• Strong expertise in Indonesian labor law, employment compliance, and HR governance.
• Experience developing Company Regulations, PKWT/PKWTT, HR policies, and organizational frameworks.
• Experience handling complex employee relations, disciplinary matters, and organizational restructuring.
• Ability to advise founders and executive leadership.
• Proficient English communication is required.

Job Role

The Senior HR Business Partner (HR Governance & Compliance) is responsible for leading the company's HR governance, employment compliance, and organizational development initiatives. This role serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership while remaining hands-on in designing HR policies, strengthening employee relations, and ensuring compliance with Indonesian labor regulations.

Working directly with the Founder, the successful candidate will establish standardized HR frameworks, improve organizational effectiveness, manage complex employee relations matters, and build scalable HR practices to support the company's continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen HR governance frameworks, internal policies, and organizational procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with Indonesian labor regulations, employment legislation, and HR best practices.
• Standardize employment contracts, HR documentation, and internal policy frameworks across the organization.
• Lead complex employee relations cases, disciplinary processes, organizational restructuring, and HR risk management.
• Advise executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and people strategies.
• Develop and implement Employee Handbooks, company regulations, performance management systems, and accountability frameworks.
• Support the company's transformation from operational HR practices toward a strategic HR Business Partner model.
• Collaborate with leadership to build a high-performance culture aligned with business objectives.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or strategic HR leadership roles.
• Proven experience within real estate development, hospitality, property investment, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in Indonesian labor law, employment compliance, and HR governance.
• Demonstrated experience developing Company Regulations (Peraturan Perusahaan), employment contracts (PKWT & PKWTT), HR policies, and organizational frameworks.
• Extensive experience handling complex employee relations, disciplinary matters, organizational restructuring, and industrial relations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience advising founders, directors, or executive leadership.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required.
