Job summary

Marriott International is seeking a seasoned Head Golf Course Superintendent to oversee maintenance and condition of a prestigious golf course on the outskirts of Surabaya. This role requires expertise in agronomy, turfgrass management, budgeting, and team leadership.

You will manage daily operations, develop an annual agronomic plan, supervise staff, control the maintenance budget, and implement sustainable turf practices to deliver an exceptional playing experience for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum eight years of progressive experience in golf course management.
• Proven experience managing budgets and leading diverse teams.
• Deep understanding of turfgrass physiology, soil science, and pest/disease management.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and water conservation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day operations of golf course maintenance, including irrigation, fertilization, mowing, and pest control.
• Develop and implement an annual agronomic plan, ensuring optimal turf health and playing conditions.
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of groundskeepers and maintenance staff.
• Control and manage the course maintenance budget effectively, seeking cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable turf management practices.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement schedules.
