Job summary

Arup in Jakarta is seeking a lead Electrical/MEP Design Engineer with a focus on data centre projects. You will conduct hands-on concept and detailed design for electrical, BMS, and structured cabling systems, while guiding design workflows within the MEP team.

You will coordinate design activities, review technical standards, supervise proposals, and build strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and contractors to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years design experience in data centre design, Tier designer accreditations preferred.
• Solid Building Automation Systems (BAS) knowledge and AI-driven automation exposure.
• Membership of relevant professional institutions.
• Registered Engineer Certificate (STRI) and SKA Madya or SKK Level 8+.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on concept and detailed design of electrical, BMS and structured cabling systems for data centre projects.
• Facilitate and coordinate design activities, ensure design standards are applied consistently.
• Undertake technical reviews of MEP projects to ensure quality deliverables.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, government agencies, sub-consultants and contractors.
• Supervise proposals and assist with contract negotiations within the MEP framework.
