Job summary

PT CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA BATTERY is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to lead safety programs, perform risk analyses, and train staff across manufacturing operations. You will drive incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance with local regulations while promoting a safety-first culture.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing safety, CSP certification preferred, and the ability to coordinate across teams for continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field is required.
• 8+ years of safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Certifications such as CSP are preferred/desirable.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and advanced analysis (LEC, FTA).

Responsibilities

• Lead plant safety programs and oversee safety audits and records.
• Investigate injuries, illnesses, and near-misses; perform RCA and JHA.
• Design and deliver safety training and build safety culture.
• Manage LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, and hazardous waste programs.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian safety laws and company policies.
• Oversee security, crisis management, and emergency response planning.
• Collaborate on sustainability and CSR initiatives with external partners.

Job description

Compliance & Auditing: .Conduct routine plant safety , weekly inspections, and formal EHS audits, Maintain safety records, handle environmental reporting (air emissions, waste disposal).

Incident Investigation & Risk Control: Lead investigations for workplace injuries, illnesses, and near-misses.Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring safety failures,Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and risk assessments for new or modified manufacturing equipment

Training & Culture Building: Design and deliver safety onboarding for new hires, temps, and ongoing continuous training for staff.Facilitate employee-led safety committees and departmental safety meetings

Program Management:Oversee critical manufacturing safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE compliance, hazardous waste management, and emergency response plan

Responsible for organizing and formulating the company's annual safety education and training plan, and supervising the implementation;

Supervise the plant‘s compliance with Indonesian safety laws, regulations, standards and the implementation of company safety production regulations and safety documents;

Physical Security & Asset Protection:Manage facility access control systems, CCTV networks, and perimeter security.Oversee contracted security guard forces, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews.

Crisis Management & Emergency Response:Develop and test response plans for security breaches, workplace violence, civil unrest, or natural disasters.Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services.

Conduct investigations into theft, vandalism, property damage, or unauthorized entry.

Sustainability & CSR Alignment: Collaborate with NGOs on local community development, water conservation, or waste-reduction projects.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

EHS Specialist: 8+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment

Certifications:Certified Safety Professional (CSP) (Preferred/Desirable)

Can independently conduct safety risk assessment and hidden danger control technology, such as LEC(Job Risk Analysis), FTA(Fault Tree Analysis) analysis, etc
