Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer (Data Center) to design, validate, and deliver advanced mechanical cooling solutions for large-scale data center facilities in South Jakarta. You will oversee the end-to-end engineering process, including HVAC design, thermal analysis, equipment selection, and on-site support.

You will collaborate with project leadership, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure energy-efficient cooling aligned with project requirements and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in HVAC design, thermal engineering, MEP, or mechanical project delivery.
• Proven experience leading engineering activities within data center or mission-critical projects.
• Hands-on experience designing or delivering large-scale data center cooling systems is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, DX, CRAH/CRAC, cooling towers, air handling, heat load calculations, and thermal management.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical cooling solutions for large-scale data centers, including heat load calculations and BOQ.
• Develop cooling system designs covering chilled water systems, DX, CRAH, CRAC, cooling towers, pumps and piping.
• Perform thermal analysis to ensure efficiency, reliability, and standards compliance.
• Select and evaluate HVAC equipment for energy efficiency and performance.
• Coordinate with electrical, BMS and other facility components for integrated operation.
• Lead design reviews and client discussions to clarify solutions and resolve issues.
