Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer (Data Center) to design and deliver advanced cooling solutions for large-scale facilities in Indonesia. You will oversee end-to-end engineering, from thermal analysis to equipment selection, coordinating with project teams to ensure performance targets and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / HVAC engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC design, thermal engineering, or MEP delivery.
• Experience leading engineering activities in data center or mission-critical projects is preferred.
• Hands-on design/delivery of large-scale data center cooling systems is highly valued.
• Solid knowledge of chilled water, DX, CRAH/CRAC, cooling towers, and air handling systems.
• Understanding of electrical infrastructure, BMS, and MEP coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical cooling solutions for data centers, including heat load and airflow analyses.
• Develop layouts for chilled water, DX, CRAH/CRAC, cooling towers, and piping networks.
• Perform thermal analysis and evaluate system performance for efficiency and reliability.
• Select equipment ensuring energy efficiency and compatibility with infrastructure.
• Coordinate with electrical, BMS, and other teams for integrated system delivery.
• Lead design reviews and client discussions; resolve technical issues proactively.
• Support construction, commissioning, testing, balancing, and handover activities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and documentation per standards.
