Job summary

Eaton Industrial Sector, based in Batam, Indonesia, is seeking a Lead Product Design Engineer with experience in electrification and leading Model Based Definition (MBD) projects. The role involves designing electrification related models, providing 3D modeling and drafting in support of the EST team, and leading key design initiatives.

You will contribute to design and drafting for projects across Asia, ensure design integrity, participate in FAI verifications, and support reverse engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Design/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical design for aerospace preferred; automotive/vehicle also welcome.

Lead Product Design Engineer

We are currently hiring for a Lead Product Design Engineer position within Eaton Industrial Sector, based in Indonesia, Batam.

Kindly apply if you have experience in Electrification design experience, and have led Model Base Definition (MBD) project before!

What you'll do:

• Able to design electrification related models using electrical design tool
• Lead Model Base Definition (MBD) project
• Provide engineering design, 3D Modeling and Drafting services in support of the EST team charter.
• Design and drafting (solid modeling and detailing) support for engineering projects initiated by fluid conveyance sites (outside of Asia).
• Design and drafting support for FC Asia product development and production support projects.
• Responsible for sustaining the design integrity of the product and tooling design including production and customer support efforts.
• Product verification through administration of First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Data collection and reporting in support of the reverse engineering process.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Aeronautical/ Mechanical Design/ Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical and/or mechanical design for Aerospace is preferred, but other industry like Automotive/vehicle are welcome to apply
• At least 7 year experience in Design Engineering environment.
• Troubleshooting skills for product and tooling related issues.
• Capable of adhering to process procedure and comfortable working within a structured engineering document control system.
• Proficiency in computer aided electrical design.
• Sound command of written & spoken English
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision and be a self-motivated individual.
• Display Initiative and willingness to learn new disciplines and accept responsibility.
