Job summary

Our client, an Indonesian architectural and engineering consultancy, seeks a Lead Civil Engineer to steer civil/structural design for industrial, commercial, and development projects. You will oversee design activities from concept to IFC, ensuring compliance with Indonesian standards and coordinating with architects and MEP teams.

The role requires strong expertise in seismic analysis, foundation design, and modeling using ETABS/SAP2000/SAFE/STAAD.Pro, with at least seven years in similar roles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil/structural engineering is required.
• Valid STRI registration is mandatory.
• Valid SKA/SKK Level 8 (Ahli Madya) in Civil or Structural Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum seven years of hands-on civil/structural design experience, including industrial projects.
• Experience as Engineer-in-Charge or equivalent technical lead is required.
• Previous experience in an architectural or engineering consultancy or design firm is required.
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE or STAAD.Pro for modeling and calculations.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian National Standards (SNI), seismic and wind design.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural design activities, ensuring structural integrity and compliance.
• Perform, review, and approve structural analysis, foundation design, RC and steel detailing.
• Lead projects from conceptual design through IFC documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with SNI, seismic and wind loads and related submissions.
• Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams for structural integration.
• Review shop drawings, bar bending schedules, material submittals, and RFIs.
• Provide engineering guidance to address design challenges and constructability.
• Oversee QA/QC of calculations, specifications, and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers, drafters, and external consultants.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities on technical matters.
• Identify technical risks and propose optimized structural solutions.
