Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Mentoring junior engineers for 2 years.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Computer Science fundamentals.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming (mainly Python).
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven programming paradigm.
• Strong foundation in Linux environment.
• Experience in IAAS, SAAS, PAAS in AWS environment.

Job description

Senior Backend Engineer

Kredivo is looking for Senior Backend engineers to join their R&D center in Jakarta, Indonesia. The team is responsible for developing new product functionality for Kredivo, building scalable services and tools using open source frameworks/cloud infrastructure and integrating machine learning models for real-time credit scoring and fraud detection. Candidates should have a strong background in developing scalable microservices using event driven architecture.

About The Job

• Design and implement backend services
• Work with the Product, Business and other stakeholders to gather and understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Write high quality, maintainable code, and modernise tech‑stack.
• Own parts of the system and continuously work to improve it in various aspects based on monitoring best practice & computer science knowledge.
• Participate in design discussions, reviews and propose/implement solutions to technical problems and challenges.

About You

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience
• Minimum mentoring junior engineers for 2 years
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms and Computer Science fundamentals
